Who are we?
We are based in the South West of England on the border of Devon and Cornwall, UK, but we provide services nationally and internationally. Haven Clinical Psychology Practice was founded in 2011. We mainly provide rehabilitation and therapy to children, adolescents and young adults, although we can also offer some services for adults including adults who sustained brain injury in childhood. We provide expert witness evidence in civil and criminal cases where an accurate understanding of neuro-cognitive functioning and/or capacity is needed.
We can be instructed by anyone. We work and consult with parents and young people who would like help, schools, GP practices, social services, case management companies, courts and solicitors. We also provide staff training to care and support establishments and offer consultancy. We aim to provide some examples of the work we undertake on our site, but our services cover a wide-ranging and complex field. We are experienced in proving expert psychological and neuropsychological opinion for the court in civil and criminal matters.
Brain injury rehabilitation & Treatment
We work collaboratively as part of treating teams in providing rehabilitation and therapy to children after brain injury.
Therapy
We offer psychological assessment and therapy to children, young people and adults who are experiencing a range of difficulties.
Alternative therapy
Some of the young people we support prefer alternative approaches to conventional therapy.
