Ms Erin Jarvis

Speech and Language Therapist

Erin is skilled in assessing and treating speech, language and communication difficulties in children and adults

Erin Jarvis is a Speech and Language Therapist registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health & Care Professions Council, UK. Erin has a first class honours degree from the University of St Mark and St John.

She has experience of a range of different settings including special schools, neuro-rehabilitation units, hospitals and community clinics. She has a particular expertise in working with children and adults with acquired brain injuries, neuro-developmental disorders and aphasia, and works closely as part of the clinical team at Haven in this work.

In terms of intervention, Erin favours a collaborative approach to goal setting and therapy. She is passionate about enabling her clients to reach their goals so that they can live full and happy lives and realise their true potential.To do this, Erin is an active member of the multidisciplinary team working with her colleagues at Haven Clinical Psychology Practice to ensure the best possible outcome for her clients by delivering holistic, person-centred care.

She has extensive experience in delivering 1:1 and group therapy to children with phonological and language delays/disorders, as well as in supporting children and adolescents with social and emotional behavioural difficulties. Erin holds a foundation certificate in Makaton.

Erin maintains a part time role within the NHS working with children and adults as a Community Speech and Language Therapist.
