Music Therapy is an established psychological intervention that has been found to be effective in supporting children and young people who have been affected by injury, illness or disability. Miss Adele Bird is an HCPC registered Music Therapist that delivers this therapy as a member of our multidisciplinary brain injury rehabilitation team. Through music intervention Adele supports the psychological, emotional, cognitive, communicative, physical and social needs of the individuals we work with. Music Therapy can work for young people at a number of levels including having a reducing effect upon anxiety, or as a form of non-verbal, or pre-verbal communication.
Adele can cover most areas of the south-west by negotiation. Rates are around £125.00 per hour plus travel, but to find out more about Music Therapy and how we may assist, or the cost of specific courses involved, contact us via our enquiries page.
